PUBLICATION NOTICE

The Board of Commissioners of the Land Reutilization Commission (LRC) of Douglas County will meet for their regular meeting at 8:30 a.m., Friday, November 19, 2021 in Room H-13, Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam St., Omaha, Nebraska. An auction, if necessary, will be held at 8:30 a.m. on November 18, 2021 in the same location.   

An agenda for said meeting of the Commission shall be readily available in the LRC office at 1819 Farnam St, Omaha Nebraska.  In the event of an emergency, the Commission shall have the right to modify the agenda at said public meeting.

Notice of Public Meeting of the Douglas County Board of Equalization, and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, the Douglas County Board of Equalization, and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners will meet consecutively beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The meetings will be held at the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam, Legislative Chamber, Omaha, NE.  The meetings will be open to the general public.

A list of applications from organizations seeking tax exemption, descriptions of the property, and recommendations of the Douglas County Assessor/Register of Deeds, to be heard by the Douglas County Board of Equalization on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, are available in the Douglas County Assessor/Register of Deeds office.

The meeting agendas, kept continually current, are readily available for public inspection in the Commissioners’ Office in the Civic Center during normal business hours.  Also available for public inspection will be any corresponding documentation that is provided to the Commissioners’ Office prior to the weekly County Board meeting.  Except for items of an emergency nature, the agendas shall not be enlarged later than 24 hours before the scheduled meeting commencement.  The Board has the right to modify its agenda to include items of an emergency nature only when the meeting is in session.

Committee meetings scheduled for the month will be listed on the County’s website at www.douglascounty-ne.gov and on the County Board Agenda.

NOTICE OF BUDGET HEARING AND BUDGET SUMMARY

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of Sections 23-921 to 23-934, R.R.S. 1943, that the public corporation acting in a government capacity and a political subdivision of this state will meet on the 19th day of November 2021, at 8:30 a.m., in Room H-13, Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam St., Omaha, Nebraska, 68183.  The purpose of the meeting is to hear support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of taxpayers relating to the following proposed budget and to consider amendments relative thereto.  The budget detail is available at the office of the Land Reutilization Commission, 1819 Farnam St., Omaha, Nebraska 68183.  All interested citizens will have the opportunity to give written or oral comment; senior citizens are encouraged to attend and comment.
