DHHS Official Leaves for New Federal Position

The director of the Division of Development Disabilities at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is leaving for a post with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Courtney Miller will leave her state position April 4 for a newly created role as Medicaid and CHIP operations group director for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services agency.
Tony Green, deputy director of the Nebraska DHHS division, will serve as interim director.
Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts said Miller provided more customer-focused, efficient and effective services for Nebraskans.
“We wish her well as she takes on her new role,” Ricketts said.
Miller joined in DHHS in 2008 and was appointed to her current position by Ricketts in 2015. In her career, she has worked for the Nebraska State Patrol and Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, as well as the Iowa Department of Human Services.
“Contributing to the State of Nebraska has been an immensely rewarding experience for me over the last 20 years,” Miller said.
