CITY OF OMAHA

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed bids for the renovation/construction of the CONCESSION / RESTROOM FACILITY REMODEL, 2200 S. 21st Street are invited and will be received on or before the bid opening date, as per the project’s specifications.

Sealed bids to be addressed to Elizabeth Butler, City Clerk, LC-1, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, marked BID ON:  “City of Omaha CONCESSION / RESTROOM FACILITY REMODEL”, must be in her office on or before 11:00 A.M. on: Wednesday, OCTOBER 5, 2022 at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC-4, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.

Plans and Specifications may be examined and obtained at the offices of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68127 (402-592-4950) on or after Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 7, 2022.  Bidders may view the contract documents (plans, specifications, addendums, etc.) on the project free of charge from the A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. website at www.adtechsupply.com.  Hard copy prints of all contract documents may be obtained from A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. by contacting them directly and placing an order.  All costs for contract document production will be directly billed by A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. to the requesting company and not to the issuer of this bidding opportunity.  Potential bidders will receive special pricing for the printing of hard copies of the contract documents.  Contact A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. for the cost associated with your request.

There will be a non-mandatory, pre-bid meeting on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 at 2:00pm.  The meeting will be held at the project site within Lynch Park, 2200 S. 21st Street, Omaha, NE.  Meeting will be held rain or shine.  Bidders may contact John Williams at (402)444-5943 to schedule an on-site visit to view the facility.

This project has an SEB reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories for 10% of the total bid amount.  For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 00, ‘Instructions to Bidders”, Part 2.16, “Utilization of Small and Emerging Small Business”.

This project does not require the bidder to submit an Economic Equity and Inclusion Program (EEIP) Plan or an approved EEIP Certificate with their bid.

As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid.  The bid bond or certified check shall be made payable to the “City of Omaha”.  Failure to do so will be cause for rejection.  City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, and the bidders shall have the right to appeal any decision to the City Council.

Sealed bids to be addressed to Elizabeth Butler, City Clerk, LC-1, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, marked BID ON: “City of Omaha Keystone Trail Extension”, must be in her office on or before 11:00 A.M. on: Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC-4, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.

Plans and Specifications may be examined and obtained at the offices of the following printers: A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127 (402-592-4950), and Standard Digital Imaging, 4426 South 108th Street, Omaha, NE 68137 (800-642-8062) on or after Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  Bidders may view the contract documents (plans & specifications, etc.) on the project free of charge from their websites.  Electronic or hard copy prints of all contract documents may be obtained from any one of them by contacting them directly and placing an order.  All costs for contract document production will be directly billed by the printer to the requesting company and not to the issuer of this bidding opportunity.  Potential bidders may receive special pricing for the printing of hard copies of the contract documents.  Contact the printer for the cost associated with your request.

There will be a non-mandatory, pre-bid meeting on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 10:00 am.  The meeting will be held at the Dewey Park Building, 550 Turner Boulevard, Omaha, NE 68105.

This project has an SEB reserve of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories.  For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 00, ‘Instructions to Bidders”, Part 2.16, “Utilization of Small and Emerging Small Business”.

This project requires the bidder to submit an Annual Economic Equity & Inclusion Program (EEIP) plan or an approved EEIP certificate with their bid.  Failure to submit either will result in the disqualification of their bid.  This contract is eligible for the apprentice utilization incentive.  Bidding contractors considering the apprenticeship utilization bid incentive must sign and date the Apprenticeship Incentive Form (AIF) and submit it with their bid.  Submission of the AIF after bids have been opened will not be accepted.  For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 22, “Economic Equity & Inclusion Program (EEIP) Plan” and Section 00 20 24, “Apprenticeship Incentive Form”.
