NOTICE INVITING BIDS

The City of Valley is accepting sealed bids for the renovation of Valley City Park – Phase 1 Renovations. The work consists of all construction indicated on the drawings and specifications, included but not limited to the following. A new park shelter, pickle-ball courts, basketball court, sand volleyball court, new sidewalks, parking lots, and site lighting.  All required site and electrical work shall be included under this contract.

Bids will be received by the City Clerk at City of Valley Office, 203 N Spruce Street, Valley, Nebraska, 68064, until 2 p.m. (local time) on the 13th day of June 2024, and thereafter will be opened and publicly read in the City Council Chambers.

Plans and specifications will be on file May 16th, 2024, with the City Clerk and available for review at the Valley City Office, 203 N Spruce Street, Valley, Nebraska, 68064, or may be obtained from JEO’s website at www.jeo.com. Only complete sets of documents will be issued. Envelopes containing the bids shall be sealed and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid security in the amount of five percent of the total bid amount.  Said check or bid security shall be made payable to the City of Valley, Nebraska and shall be forfeited to the city in the event the bidder to whom an award is made refuses or fails to enter unto an agreement, as required by the specifications, within ten calendar days after being notified of such an award.  The City Council reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to wave informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will, in their opinion, serve the best interests of the City of Valley, Nebraska.
