BUDGET & TAX REQUEST HEARINGS

Mayor Grove called the budget and tax request hearings meeting to order on September 24, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Present were Mayor Grove; Council Members, Batcher, Lewis, TenEyck, and Ueckert. Also present: City Attorney Andrea Griffin, City Administrator Cameron Gales, Clerk Christie Donnermeyer, Treasurer Lori Sorensen, Building Inspector Rune van den Boogaart, Public Works Superintendent Doug Eggen, Library Director Sami Stewart, Police Chief Bobby Martinez. Mayor Grove noted the location of the open meetings act, and stated one copy of all reproducible written material to be discussed at this meeting is available for examination or copying. Unanimously approved agenda. Budget hearing: Kent Speicher spoke outlining the key provisions of the proposed budget. No one else spoke. Hearing to set final tax request: Kent Speicher spoke outlining the proposed levies. No one else spoke.

Mayor Grove called the meeting to order on September 24, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Present were Mayor Grove; Council Members, Batcher, Lewis, TenEyck, and Ueckert. Also present: City Attorney Andrea Griffin, City Administrator Cameron Gales, Clerk Christie Donnermeyer, Treasurer Lori Sorensen, Building Inspector Rune van den Boogaart, Public Works Superintendent Doug Eggen, Library Director Sami Stewart, Police Chief Bobby Martinez. Mayor Grove noted the location of the open meetings act, and stated one copy of all reproducible written material to be discussed at this meeting is available for examination or copying. Unanimously approved the agenda with the addition of item no. 10. Unanimously approved the consent agenda. Officer Dohrman was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his leadership and dedication in organizing and coordinating a mental health awareness symposium. Unanimously approve the contract with Creative Planning for audit prep FY 2024. Unanimously approved to increase the total restricted funds authority by an additional 1%. Passed and adopted Ordinance No. 821 the Budget Statement termed the Annual Appropriation Bill. Passed and adopted Resolution No. 2024-52 setting the property tax request.
