NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Conference Room, LC-1, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on June 11, 2019, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance levying a special tax and assessment on certain lots, part of lots and pieces of real estate in the City of Omaha to cover the cost of clearing snow and ice from sidewalks – Group No. 2018-02
An ordinance in accordance with Section 5.10 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended, to transfer $2,708,120.00 in unencumbered appropriations in the 2019 Budget of the City of Omaha from the Wage Adjustment account to the City departments; and to fix the effective date hereof to be immediately upon passage in accordance with Section 2.12 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended
An ordinance to authorize entry into an Agreement between the City of Omaha and WorkForce Software, LLC involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one (1) year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, as amended; to provide for the purchase and implementation of the cloud based WorkForce Software Time and Attendance System for a period of five (5) years, a conversion of the current EmpCenter Time and Attendance System to the new environment, and to upgrade to the latest version of the WorkForce Time and Attendance Software at a total cost of approximately $895,000 over the term of the Agreement. (The funds for these products and services shall be paid by the Finance Department from General Fund 11111, General Expense 119014.)
An ordinance to accept the bid of Heiman Fire Equipment in the amount of $221,665.02 to provide 114 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Bunker Gear (i.e. top tier coat and pant with upgraded suspender) for the Omaha Fire Department; the term of the agreement is for one year at a cost of $1,944.43 per pair of PPE Bunker Gear (i.e. top tier coat and pant with upgraded suspender) and a total cost of $221,665.02 for 114 sets of PPE Bunker Gear (i.e. top tier coat and pant with upgraded suspender) with both parties having the option to mutually agree to extend the agreement monthly for an additional 24-month period at no increase in cost
An ordinance to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Public Housing Investments Public and Indian Housing, FY 2018 Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant, Award #NE7D531CNG118, in the amount of $25,000,000.00, match in the amount of $157,000,000.00, and total program amount of $182,000,000.00, during the project period extending from May 13, 2019 to September 30, 2025; to provide funding for the implementation of a “Transformation Plan” identified in the Grant Agreement, and uniting the Choice Neighborhoods goals and strategies for a holistic approach to housing, people and neighborhood; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter
An ordinance (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and Nebraska Preparedness Partnership in the amount of $45,000.00 and (2) to authorize the funding for such agreement from the FY 2018 State Homeland Security Grant (SHSG) Award #EMW-2018-SS-00037-S01, awarded by the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency, to provide enhanced security of critical infrastructure assets as prioritized by critical infrastructure operators through public-private partnerships, coordinated plan implementation, and resource management; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter
An ordinance approving the Seventeenth Supplemental Agreement among the City of Omaha, the County of Douglas, and the Omaha-Douglas Public Building Commission to provide for the issuance of up to the stated principal amount of $114,000,000.00 of new bonds, in one or more series, to pay costs for acquiring, constructing, demolishing, reconstructing, improving, renovating and equipping office facilities, courtroom facilities, and other related justice facilities and juvenile detention facilities as an addition to the Civic Center and as an addition to the Hall of Justice and to determine the division of responsibility for payment of the new bonds
