ORDINANCE NO. 43492
AN ORDINANCE to approve a PUR-Planned Unit Redevelopment Overlay District, located at 4076 Spencer Street, to approve the Development Plan, and to provide for an effective date.
Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-595 through 55-600 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a PUR-Planned Unit Redevelopment Overlay District and the Development Plan, attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved, for the following described land in Douglas County, Nebraska: Lot 145, WESTMORELAND, along with ½ vacated alley adjoining, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska.

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 2504 Bancroft Street from GI-General Industrial District to R5-Urban Family Residential District.
Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: East ½ of Lot 8, Block 6, Wilcox Addition, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from GI-General Industrial District to R5-Urban Family Residential District.

AN ORDINANCE to approve an Amendment to an Agreement between the City of Omaha and Metro Area Continuum of Care for the Homeless (“MACCH”) which was originally approved by Ordinance No. 42660 on August 31, 2021 and has been amended by Ordinance No. 43283 on January 31, 2023; to obligate up to 25% of the emergency rental assistance funds for affordable rental housing and eviction prevention purposes, as defined by the Secretary of the Treasury, serving very low-income families; to increase administrative fees in the Agreement from up to 10% to up to 15% on funds utilized for affordable rental housing and eviction prevention purposes; to establish the effective date of this Ordinance.

NOTICE
The South Omaha Turnback Tax Grant Committee will hold a public meeting on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 5:30 PM in Meeting Room B of the South Omaha Library, located at 2808 Q Street. The Public Meeting will be held to open the 2023-2024 South Omaha Turnback Tax Grant Application, distribute applications, answer applicant questions, and receive any public comments about the application process. Applications will be accepted for grant proposals that showcase important historical aspects of defined areas within South Omaha, assist with the reduction of street and gang violence in defined areas of South Omaha, and assist with small business and entrepreneurship growth in defined areas of South Omaha.
Applications can be found online at www.cityofomaha.org or www.douglascounty-ne.gov beginning Thursday, September 28, 2023, and are due by 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
