Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on September 20, 2022 and passed and approved the following ordinances:
ORDINANCE NO. 43100
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located southwest of 15th and Mike Fahey Streets from DS-Downtown Services to CBD-Central Business District (property is located within an ACI Overlay District).
Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 1-2, Builders District 3, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from DS-Downtown Services to CBD-Central Business District (property is located within an ACI Overlay District).

ORDINANCE NO. 43101
AN ORDINANCE approving an Agreement by and between the City of Omaha, a Municipal Corporation and Douglas County, Nebraska, and Premier Biotech, LLC, 723 Kasota Ave SE, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55414-2842, for drug and alcohol testing of City employees and prospective employees as required by the Department of Transportation and all other employees and prospective employees under the City of Omaha Alcohol and Drug Policy and Procedures and Collective Bargaining Agreements; which Agreement involves the payment of money from appropriations of more than one (1) year as provided in Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended for a period from August 1, 2022 through July 31, 2023; to provide funds from the Human Resources Department Fund 11111, Organization No. 105011; and to provide an effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 43102
AN ORDINANCE to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the Nebraska Crime Commission, FY 2021 STOP Violence Against Women (VAWA) Grant, Award #15JOVW-21-GG-00535-STOP ($218,499.27) and Award #2019-WF-AX-0004 ($30,142.91) in the amount of two hundred and forty-eight thousand, six hundred and forty-two dollars and eighteen cents ($248,642.18), during the project period of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023; to enhance victim assistance services and prosecute cases of domestic violence through the multi-agency Douglas County Community Response Team as detailed in the attached grant application; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one fiscal year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter; and, providing for the effective date thereof.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER /
GENERAL CONTRACTOR
OMAHA STREETCAR
The City of Omaha and the Omaha Streetcar Authority are seeking a Statement of Qualifications from an established and recognized firm or joint venture regularly engaged in the construction of modern streetcar and urban fixed guideway transit systems for the proposed Omaha Streetcar project. Project delivery will be Construction Manager/General Contractor. Whether a candidate firm or joint venture has such qualifications to propose on the project will be determined though the evaluation process described in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ).
Interested firms or joint ventures may request a detailed RFQ by emailing ae.selection@cityofomaha.org or by writing to the City of Omaha Public Works Department, Attention: Sylvia, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE 68183 prior to October 12, 2022.
