PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

TEN SQUARE TOWNHOMES

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on October 6, 2020, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

The Ten Square Townhomes Redevelopment Project Plan.

The redevelopment project plan proposes to construct a single residential structure containing ten (10) for sale market rate townhome units. Eight (8) will be three-bedroom units of about 2,990 square feet each, and two (2) will be two-bedroom units of about 2,660 square feet each.

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the August 5, 2020 public hearing.

The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $835,500.00, plus accrued interest. TIF will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, demolition, site preparation, architectural and engineering fees, and public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $5,062,750.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.

Agent Services

 The Housing Authority of the City of Omaha (hereinafter ‘OHA’) is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed and bonded entities to provide Real Estate Agent Services in the selling of single-family residential properties throughout the City of Omaha.

RFP packets will be available on Friday September 18, 2020 at 2:00 P.M.

Deadline for Proposal submission is Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 2:00 P.M.
