PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on September 17, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of constructing the Siphon Upgrade at Thomas Creek & Little Papio, project identified as OPW 54269; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisition, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance to amend Section 1 and Section 3 of Ordinance No. 43909, passed by City Council on July 30, 2024, which Ordinance vacated a portion of the Douglas Street right-of-way located east of 73rd Street to the eastern terminus, in the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.
An ordinance approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and Holy Name Housing Corporation, to implement the Workforce Housing Round 3 Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located southeast of 40th and Lake Streets, which proposes to construct thirteen single family homes on the project site; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $538,519.00, which includes capitalized interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project.
An ordinance to accept the bid in the total amount of $668,500.00 to Dostals Construction Company, Inc. to furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the construction of the sprayground improvements at Lee Valley Park.
An ordinance to grant a permanent right-of-way easement in land to Omaha Public Power District of Omaha, for underground distribution facilities along City property near Eppley Airfield.
An ordinance to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance, FY 2024 Invited to Apply – Byrne Discretionary Community Grants Program, Award #15PBJA-24-GG-00148-BRND, in the amount of $4,000,000.00, during the project period extending from March 9, 2024 to September 30, 2026; to modernize The Omaha Police Department air support and bomb response equipment to improve officer safety, equipment reliability, and mutual aid capabilities.; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.
An ordinance approving a Public Improvement and Parking Development Agreement by and between the City of Omaha and Woodbury Corporation for the development by the City of various structured, surface, and on-street parking facilities generally located at 7400 Dodge Street in the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, providing for the City’s acquisition of real property within the site for $38,800,000.00, the assignment to the City of $39,000,000.00 in tax increment financing loan proceeds, and the requirement of a minimum investment in public infrastructure by Woodbury of $27,000,000.00.
An ordinance approving an Amended and Restated Redevelopment Agreement by and between the City of Omaha and KJ Crossroads Venture, LLC for the redevelopment of the property generally located at 7400 Dodge Street in the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, and all adjacent public rights-of-way; and which authorizes the use of up to $101,742,701.00, plus accrued interest, in excess ad valorem taxes generated by the redevelopment project.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on September 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of these hearings is to consider approval of:
Class “C” Liquor License for Farnam 40 Hospitality, LLC, dba “Sullivan’s Bar”, located at 3929 Farnam Street.
Class “C” Liquor License for Via Regency, LLC, dba “Via Regency”, located at 10730 Pacific Street, Suite 120.
Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.

The Omaha Streetcar Authority will have a Meeting at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, September 16, 2024, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street in Omaha, Nebraska, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Authority shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at https://www.cityofomaha.org/omaha-streetcar.
