REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on August 22, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
MH Landing Lot 1 Redevelopment Project Plan.
Applicant/Developer: MH Ozone II, LLC
Location: 6401 South 72nd Street
The redevelopment project plan proposes the construction of a new one story commercial building of about 6,650 square feet with two bays of retail uses.
The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the July 5, 2023 public hearing.
The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) in an amount up to $581,676.00, which includes capitalized interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as site work, acquisition, architectural and engineering costs and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $3,606,260.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.
A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on August 22, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
Kennedy Square West Redevelopment Project Plan.
Applicant/Developer: Omaha Housing Authority
Location: 3005 and 3006 Emmett Street
The redevelopment project plan proposes the Martin Luther King Jr building will be demolished and replaced with a mixed use building of four stories with 39 residential units and about 3,964 square feet of commercial space.
The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the July 5, 2023 public hearing.
The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) in an amount up to $473,486.00, which includes capitalized interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as site work, demolition, acquisition, various pre-development studies, architectural and engineering costs, and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $17,678,331.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.
A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.

Boho Flats Redevelopment Project Plan.
Applicant/Developer: Sage Capital, LLC
Location: 1432 South 13th Street
The redevelopment project plan proposes the six buildings on the project site will be demolished and a new five story mixed use building with 59 apartment units and 5,400 square feet of retail space will be constructed.
The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the July 5, 2023 public hearing.
The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) in an amount up to $2,090,443.00, which includes capitalized interest. TIF loan proceed will be used to offset eligible expenses such as site work, demolition, acquisition, architectural and engineering costs, and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $15,335,171.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Councilmembers of the City of Omaha will meet on August 8, 2023 at 6:30 PM in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, in Omaha, Nebraska. The purpose of this special meeting is to hold a public hearing for the 2024 proposed budget. The proposed agenda, kept continually current, shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened.
