NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Jesse Lowe Conference Room, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on August 30, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance to transfer the permanent easements in land to Sanitary Improvement District 610 of Douglas County, for purposes of constructing a storm sewer, and appurtenances thereto, upon City-owned property located in part of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 28 -Township 16N – Range 11E of the 6th P.M.; to authorize the Mayor to execute the Right-of-Way Easement.
An ordinance to amend Sections 55-608.1; 55-687; 55-804; and 55-928 of the Omaha Municipal Code; to correct referenced sub-sections in the NCE-Neighborhood Conservation/Enhancement District; to correct the referenced Urban Design section for building design guidelines in the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay Districts; to add an exemption to the section for maximum permitted sound created by emergency generator engines during routine maintenance events or periods of partial or total loss of electrical power; to clarify that 15 feet of perimeter landscaping applies to a property in any urban design districts adjacent to an arterial street; to repeal Sections 55-608.1; 55-687; 55-804; and 55-928 as heretofore existing.
An ordinance to approve an Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Millard Public Schools for the City to provide, through its assignment, up to at least four and no more than five Associate School Resource Officers, at the City’s discretion, one Canine Associate School Resource Officer, and marked police cruisers, subject to the availability of such cruisers and the School District’s needs, to specifically designated locations, involving appropriations of more than one fiscal year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter, to perform police work at the District property twenty-eight (28) hours(or less) per week while school is in session during the regular school year, and thirty (30) hours per week while school is in session during the regular school year for the Canine Associate SRO, from the first day of the semester of August, 2022 and ending at the close of the 2022 – 2023 school year. The reimbursement payment from the Millard Public Schools to the City will be in the amount of $35.00 per hour for each officer; and $40.00 per hour for the canine officer; and $5.00 per day for the canine officer when school is not in session (summer break).
