Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on August 16, 2022 and passed and approved the following ordinances:
ORDINANCE NO. 43049
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located Southeast of Southeast of 177th and State Streets from AG-Agricultural District to R4-Single Family Residential District (High-Density).
Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 1-98, Outlots A-C, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned from AG-Agricultural District to R4-Single Family Residential District (High Density).

ORDINANCE NO. 43045
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 1824 Sahler Street from GI-General Industrial District to R5-Urban Family Residential District.
Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lot 9, Block 1, Boulevard Park Subdivision, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska is hereby rezoned from GI-General Industrial District to R5-Urban Family Residential District.

AN ORDINANCE to amend the boundaries of the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located at 4768 Q Street; and to provide for an effective date.
Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-681 through 55-688 and 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, the official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended so that: Lot 1, Ashland Park Replat 2, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned to be included in and incorporated into the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District; provided, that the base zoning district for such property shall not be changed by this ordinance.

AN ORDINANCE to approve and authorize a contract between the City of Omaha and Creighton University for services involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with sections 5.16 and 5.17 of the Omaha Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956 as amended; to provide for payment to Creighton University for providing Paramedic and EMT training, continuing education for both Paramedics and EMTs, and technical support to those training and education programs for a period of two years, with an option to extend for an additional year, at an initial total cost of $465,000.00 for two years, to be paid in the amount of $19,375.00 per month from the Omaha Fire Department Fund 11111, Organization 114572 EMS Training, 42239 Professional Fees; and to provide an effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE to approve an Amendment to the Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and Noddle Bradford VI, LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company, that implemented HDR Aksarben Village Zone 6 Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site which includes the HDR Headquarters and the Inner Rail, located northeast of 67th and Francis Streets; to authorize the use of an additional $1,236,586 in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the redevelopment project; all other terms and conditions contained in the Redevelopment Agreement not amended hereby, shall remain in full force and effect; and providing for an effective date.

AN ORDINANCE approving the contract with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. for OPW 51340 being, Household Hazardous Waste Transportation and Disposal to be collected at Under the Sink, located at 4001 South 120th Street for a period of two years beginning September 1, 2022, through August 31, 2024, with the exclusive option by the City to extend the contract for one additional one-year term; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account; and, to provide an effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE to approve a Second Amendment to the Redevelopment Agreement by and between the City of Omaha and 121 Acquisition Company, LLC, a Texas limited liability company, and its successors or assigns, for the collection of Occupation Tax in an Enhances Employment Area, generally located south of 77th and Dodge Streets, authorizing the use of up to $2,970,000.00, plus accrued interest, in occupation tax revenues generated by the development located in an enhanced employment area, as shown in Exhibit “A”, as properly authorized and designated by the Omaha City Council; and providing for an effective date.
