PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on July 23, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance to rezone property located southeast of 204th Street and West Dodge Road to CC- Community Commercial District.
An ordinance to amend the boundaries of the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located southeast of 204th Street and West Dodge Road.
Res. that, the Final Plat transmitted herewith entitled Elk Valley Commercial, a minor plat inside city limits, located southeast of 204th Street and West Dodge Road, is hereby approved, and concurrently a portion of the existing plats entitled NW ¼ of Section 19, T15N, R11E of the 6th P.M., and described on said replat, are hereby vacated.
Res. that, the Subdivision Agreement among the City of Omaha, Dodge 204, LLC, and The Elk Valley Commercial Owners Association, as recommended by the Mayor, is hereby approved. The Subdivision is to be known as Elk Valley (Lot 1) and is located southeast of 204th Street and West Dodge Road.
An ordinance to rezone property located northeast of 222nd and F Streets from AG-Agricultural District to R4-Single Family Residential District (High Density).
Res. that, the Final Plat entitled Blue Sage Creek 3 (Formerly Whisper Ridge), a subdivision outside city limits, located northeast of 222nd and F Streets, is hereby approved and accepted.
Res. that, the Subdivision Agreement among the City of Omaha, Lanoha Pacific Industries, The Blue Sage Creek Homeowners Association, and Sanitary and Improvement District (S.&I.D.) 575 of Douglas County, Nebraska, as recommended by the Mayor, is hereby approved. The Subdivision is to be known as Blue Sage Creek 3 (Lots 1-168 and Outlots A-C) and is located northeast of 222nd and F Streets.

PROJECT HOUSEWORKS
INVITATION FOR BIDS
Project Houseworks is seeking bids from qualified licensed contractors for new re roof, gutters, downspouts and extension installs, soffit and fascia repair/replacement for Seven (7) residential homes and detached garages in Omaha, Nebraska. If interested, the Scope of Work can be obtained by contacting Shane Murphy at Project Houseworks: Shane@projecthouseworks.org. Deadline for proposals is Friday, July 19th at 3:00PM.
Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the closing time. Sealed bids to be addressed to Project Houseworks (2316 S 24th Street, Omaha NE 68108) marked “Bid on Roof Project”, with address identified, must be on file in the office by 3:00 P.M. on the closing date, at which time the bids will be opened and read by Project Houseworks.
Attention is called to the fact not less than minimum salaries and wages as specified by the U.S. Secretary of Labor as set forth in the specification may be paid on the roofing/gutter work. The contractor must, furthermore, insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color or creed, sex or national origin.
The bidder must file a certificate of insurance with Project Houseworks evidencing comprehensive public liability insurance coverage protecting the property owner for not less than 1,000,000 per occurrence, 2,000,000 aggregate arising out of work performed by the contractor. Evidence of workman’s compensation insurance must be shown prior to receipt of the order to proceed with the work.
