Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on May 25, 2021 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 42552

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located northwest of 192nd and Pacific Streets from AG-Agricultural District to R6-Low-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

 

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 2 and 3, Pacific Renaissance, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned from AG-Agricultural District to R6-Low-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

ORDINANCE NO. 42553

AN ORDINANCE to approve a Major Amendment to PUD-Planned Unit Development Overlay District in a R6-Low-Density Multiple-Family Residential District, located northwest of 192nd and Pacific Streets, to approve the Amendment to the Development Plan, and to provide for an effective date.

 

Summary:  In accordance with Sections 55-584 through 55-594 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a Major Amendment to the PUD-Planned Unit Development and the Development Plan, attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved, for the following described land in Douglas County, Nebraska: Lots l and 2, Pacific Renaissance Replat 1, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska.

AN ORDINANCE to transfer a permanent easement in land to Metropolitan Utilities District of Omaha, a Municipal Corporation and a Political Corporation, for purposes of relocating facilities, and appurtenances thereto, upon City-owned located east of 132nd Street between Renfro Circle and Discovery Drive; to authorize the Mayor to execute the attached Right-of-Way Easement; and to provide an effective date thereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 42559

AN ORDINANCE to approve the purchase of the Arrow EZ-10 System from Teleflex for use by the Omaha Fire Department Emergency Medical Services Division in the amount of $29,000.00 per year, for a term beginning April 1, 2021 and continuing in effect for four years thereafter; and, WHEREAS, Teleflex is a sole source vendor and provides the Arrow EZ-10 System which uses a proprietary patented needle and power driver technology, with Teleflex being the sole manufacturer of these components.

AN ORDINANCE to amend Chapter 43 of the Omaha Municipal Code entitled “Building”; to amend code sections therein to conform with previous code changes; to amend sections 43-121, 43-126, 43-128, and 43-129 as heretofore existing; and to provide the effective date thereof.

AN ORDINANCE approving an Operating Agreement for the Implementation of a Dockless Shared Scooter Operation Agreement between the City of Omaha and Skinny Labs, Inc., dba Spin, a C Corporation (Spin), pursuant to a Request for Proposals (“RFP”), for the regulation of the operation and use of shared electric scooters in the City’s right-of-way, for a term of one year with options to extend, as provided for therein, which shall provide a comprehensive framework for shared active transportation operations in the future, and providing for an effective date.
