PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on May 12, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of the 61st & Radial Storm Sewer CSO Project, identified as OPW 54374; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements; providing that as to each specified parcel which cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of the CC204 Phase 4A Sewer Separation CSO, identified as OPW 53820; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements; providing that as to each specified parcel which cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance to amend Sections 11-334, 11-337, and 11-338 of the Omaha Municipal Code to permit holders of licenses issued by Nebraska local health departments other than the Douglas County Health Department to operate within the City of Omaha; to clarify parking regulations; to clarify the expiration date for mobile food vendor licenses; to require operation in conjunction with a licensed commercial kitchen.
An ordinance to accept the bid of First Student, Inc. in the total amount of $513,040.00 to provide bus service transportation for Summer Recreation Programs and Senior Program Field Trips for the Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department for four (4) years with the lease commencing upon approval, through December 31, 2026, and to authorize annual payments as specified therein in the amount of $128,260.00 per year, for a total amount of $513,040.00.
An ordinance levying a special tax assessment for litter removal in accordance with Sections 18-21 through 18-30 of the Omaha Municipal Code on certain lots in the City of Omaha – Group 2026-04.
An ordinance levying a special tax assessment for cutting and clearing weeds, grass and worthless vegetation in accordance with Sections 18-21 through 18-30 of the Omaha Municipal Code on certain lots in the City of Omaha – Group 2026-05.
An ordinance levying a special tax assessment for the removal and/or trimming of trees, bushes, shrubs, hedges, and any other vegetation in accordance with Sections 37-1 through 37--95 of the Omaha Municipal Code on certain lots in the City of Omaha – Group 2026-06.
An ordinance to amend Chapter 20, Article VI, of the Omaha Municipal Code, entitled “Offenses Against Property” by amending Section 20-162 to update language regarding the prohibition against unauthorized ticket reselling; update the definition of ticket to include electronic tickets; define the term “original ticket price”.
An ordinance to amend Chapter 17, Article I, of the Omaha Municipal Code, entitled “In General” by amending Section 17-3 to include a prohibition against the amplification of sound; exceptions to the limitations.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold a public hearing on May 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of this hearing is to consider approval of:
Class “C” Liquor License for Rise Up Aksarben, LLC, dba “Corner Kick”, located at 2295 South 67th Street.
Class “D” Liquor License for Rhino Super Market and Liquor, LLC, dba “Rhino Super Market and Liquor”, located at 6501 Ames Avenue.
Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.
