Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on May 10, 2022 and passed and approved the following ordinances:
ORDINANCE NO. 42944
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at Northeast of 66th and Grover Streets from DR-Development Reserve District and GI-General Industrial District to GI-General Industrial District.
Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, ,and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lot 1, Flinn Subdivision One, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from DR-Development Reserve District and GI-General Industrial District to GI-General Industrial District (property is located within the FF-Flood Fringe and FW-Floodway Overlay Districts).

AN ORDINANCE to approve a Major Amendment to a PUD-Planned Unit Development Overlay District located Southeast of 192nd and Harney Streets, to approve the Development Plan, and to provide for an effective date.
Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-595 through 55-600 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a Major Amendment to the PUD-Planned Unit Development Overlay District and the Development Plan, attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved, for the following described land in Douglas County, Nebraska: Lot 4, Grove Ridge, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska.

AN ORDINANCE to accept the bid from The Office Cleaners for janitorial services for the Traffic Maintenance Facility, in the amount of $11,260.00 per year, for a period of three (3) years, with sole option by the City to extend the price agreement for up to two (2) additional one-year periods; providing for the payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956 as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account; and to provide an effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE approving an Agreement between the City of Omaha, Nebraska and Lynn Vinduska, of Cass County, Nebraska, involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for the terms and conditions under which Lynn Vinduska will receive and land apply stabilized sewage sludge, according to applicable standards, laws, and policies of the City of Omaha and other relevant jurisdictions for an agreement period ending December 31, 2022 with up to four automatic one-year renewals; to authorize the Finance Department to pay a sum not to exceed $0.60 per cubic yard of stabilized sludge from the Sewer Revenue Fund 21121, Missouri River Water Resource Recovery Facility Organization 116612: and to provide an effective date hereof.

AIR QUALITY CONTROL
Notice is given to the public according to Chapter 41 of the Omaha Municipal Code of the application of Metropolitan Utilities District to obtain a minor air emission construction permit for their potable water treatment facility at 2710 Grebe Street, Omaha. The potential emissions, in tons, for this project will be: PM 0.1, PM10 0.1, PM2.5 0.1, SOx 0.1, NOx 6.0, VOC 0.1, CO 0.2 and CO2 equivalent 406.
No significant impact on air quality is expected from the operation of this facility. Douglas County is in attainment with air quality standards for the listed pollutants. Approval is recommended with the condition that any pollution control equipment that may be necessary for compliance with the City of Omaha or Nebraska Air Pollution Control Rules and Regulations will be installed within 180 days after notification by the City of noncompliance.
All information submitted by the applicant and the proposed approval by Air Quality Control are available for inspection by the public at the office of Omaha Air Quality Control from May 18, 2022 to June 18, 2022. Comments received during that period will be considered. During that period the applicant, or any interested person or group of persons, may request or petition the Control Officer for a public hearing, and state the nature of the issues to be raised and all arguments and factual grounds supporting their position. The Control Officer may hold a public hearing if the comments, requests, or petitions raise legal, policy or discretionary questions and significant public interest exists with respect to the application. METROPOLITAN UTILITIES DISTRICT (M.U.D.)
Updates Approved to Gas and Water Rules and Billing Price Book
The M.U.D. Board of Directors approved changes May 4 to the Gas and Water Rules and Regulations and the Billing Price Book. Changes to the Gas and Water Rules are effective May 5, 2022, and changes to the Billing Price Book are effective June 1, 2022.
Updates include changes to the preface of both the Gas and Water Rules to better align with statutory authority. The Water Rules also include adjustments to the location of taps, materials for service piping, customer cooperation requirements, master service lines and private fire protection systems. The Gas Rules also include changes to general conditions and language regarding bypass of the District’s system, installation of gas equipment and appliance requirements.
