NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Jesse Lowe Conference Room, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on May 2, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners, Douglas County Administrative Office in the amount of $130,795.00; and (2) to authorize funding for such agreement from the City of Omaha’s FY 2022 Prosecuting Cold Cases Using DNA Program, Award #15PBJA-22-GG-03130-DNAX, awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance; to provide support for the prosecution of cold case homicides and coordination with the Omaha Police Department on all facets of cold case homicide investigations, including DNA testing and forensic genetic genealogy (FGG); to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.
An ordinance (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, University of Nebraska at Omaha in the amount of $585,274.00; and (2) to authorize funding for such agreement from the City of Omaha’s FY 2022 Community-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative Grant Award #15PBJA-22-GG-04731-CVIP, awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA); to lead implementation and outcome evaluations for the Engaging Networks within the Community of Omaha to Maintain and Promote a Safe Society (ENCOMPASS) Omaha project; involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter; providing for payment from a specific account.
An ordinance to approve an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Omaha and the City of South Sioux City, Nebraska, for more than one year, for the City of Omaha, on behalf of the Eastern Nebraska Clean Energy Assessment District, to administer portions and undertake certain duties of the City of South Sioux City Clean Energy Assessment District and South Sioux City’s PACE program.
