Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on April 2, 2024 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 43763

AN ORDINANCE vacating Burt Street from the west right-of-way line of 24th Street to the east right-of-way line of 27th Plaza, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska; and providing the effective date hereof.

First Reading March 12, 2024; Second Reading and Public Hearing March 19, 2024; Third Reading and Vote April 2, 2024

ORDINANCE NO. 43764

AN ORDINANCE vacating Burt Street from the west right-of-way line of 20th Street to the east right-of-way line of 24th Street, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska; and providing the effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 43765

AN ORDINANCE to approve a Right-of-Way Vacation Agreement between the City of Omaha and Creighton University, a Nebraska not for profit corporation, concerning the terms and conditions of the proposed vacation of the right-of-way, including required public improvements and the maintenance and liability obligations, for Burt Street between 20th Street and 27th Plaza; to authorize the execution of said Agreement; and to provide an effective date thereof.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal section 40-473 of Chapter 40, Article VII, Division 2 of the Omaha Municipal Code governing the qualifications an individual must possess to be employed as a mechanical inspector with the City of Omaha; and to provide an effective date thereof.

AN ORDINANCE to establish, pursuant to Section 40-251 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a Class “B” Flammable Liquids Storage District to be known as District No. B-219 at 6720 North 9th Street, as requested by Performance Foodservice, PFG; and to provide the effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 43769

AN ORDINANCE approving a Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreement between the City of Omaha and Tenth Avenue Freezeout, LLC for the City of Omaha’s acquisition of an approximately one hundred seventy-nine four hundred sixty-seven (179,467) square foot parcel of Lot 93, Iron Bluff, generally located south and west of 204th Street and F Street, for the purchase price of $1,794,670.00 plus a one time payment in-lieu-of ad valorem tax payments in the amount of $205,330.00 to the Sanitary Improvement District 613 of Douglas County, Nebraska, with the intent that the acquired site be used as the future site of the Southwest Omaha Library; and for an effective date.
