The Electrical Board reserves the right to amend the above agenda. A copy of the official agenda, kept continually current, shall be available for public inspection at the office of the Omaha Planning Department, 1819 Farnam Street, Suite 1110, Omaha, Nebraska, during normal business hours.

ORDINANCE
“Pursuant to Chapter 34, Article VI, Division 3 of the Omaha Municipal Code, you are hereby notified that:
It shall be the duty of the occupant, as well as the duty of the owner, of any lot or land or real estate in the city to clear all ice and snow from the sidewalks adjoining the said lot, land or real estate within 24 hours after the city has declared that snow removal operation on the city’s major streets are complete. The failure or refusal of any owner or occupant to fulfill this duty and to clear all ice and snow and other obstructions from the sidewalks has been declared unlawful and may be punishable pursuant to Omaha Municipal Code Sec. 1-10. It is also unlawful for any person to place snow or ice upon any street or alley right-of-way from private driveways, sidewalks, lots, or other private property.
Pursuant to Omaha Municipal Code Sec. 34-335 the City of Omaha has the authority to clear the sidewalks of the hazard created by snow and ice. The expense the City incurs for removing snow and ice accumulations upon sidewalks may be assessed against the adjoining property, at the following rates:
Amount of Snow in inches Cost per Lineal (running) Foot of Sidewalk to remove*
Trace (or ice) to 6-inches $3.13 per Lineal Foot (includes 15% administrative fee)
6-inches to 12 inches $4.03 per Lineal Foot (includes 15% administrative fee)
12-inches or greater $5.75 per Lineal Foot (includes 15% administrative fee)
*Based on a maximum standard residential sidewalk width of 5 foot. If sidewalk is greater than 5 foot wide a multiplier will be added.
Additionally, if it has been determined that a property has been in violation of Chapter 34, Article VI, Division 3 within a previous 36 month period, an additional penalty of $150.00 will be assessed for a second violation and $300.00 will be assessed for a third and each subsequent violation. The City of Omaha Public Works Department thanks the City for their cooperation in clearing the sidewalks.”

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on January 12, 2021, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance to transfer a permanent easement in land to Metropolitan Utilities District of Omaha, for purposes of relocating facilities, and appurtenances thereto, upon City-owned property located near South 68th Street between Mercy Road and West Center Road; to authorize the Mayor to exe-cute the Right-of-Way Easement.
An ordinance approving the issuance of a Purchase Order to Dale’s Trash Service, Inc. dba Port-A-Johns, with an annual estimated cost of $115,641.00, for Trash Collection Services for City-Owned Receptacles through Douglas County Purchasing Department on November 18, 2020, for a three (3) year price agreement totaling $346,923.00 with the option to extend for an additional two (2), one (1) year extensions upon agreement by both parties; involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.
An ordinance to accept the bid from Tab Holding Co., Inc., dba TAB Construction, for OPW 53978, being the Omaha Traffic Maintenance Facility Site Improvements – Phase I Project, in the amount of $279,799.53, to approve appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide payments from a specific account in the amount of $279,799.53, and to provide an effective date hereof.
An ordinance to accept the bid of Abe’s Trash Service, Inc., at a total cost of $21,138.00, to provide rubbish container services for the Omaha Fire Department, including all fire stations, the Public Education Office (Station 10), the Public Safety Training Center, and the Technical Services Di-vision; the term of the agreement is for 12 months, with the option to extend the agreement for two additional years.
An ordinance to approve an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Omaha and the City of Papillion, for more than one year, for the City of Omaha, on behalf of the Eastern Nebraska Clean Energy Assessment District, to administer portions and undertake certain duties of the City of Papillion Clean Energy Assessment District and Papillion’s PACE program.

NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Roskens Room, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civ-ic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agen-da kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video con-ference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.
