PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

THE SQUARE APARTMENTS

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on January 10, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

The Square Apartments

Redevelopment Project Plan.

Applicant: APOGEE Professional Services, LLC

Location: South of 30th and

Leavenworth Streets

The redevelopment project plan proposes the existing building be demolished and a four story apartment building with 73 units will be constructed.

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the October 5, 2022 public hearing.

The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $1,835,438.00, plus capitalized interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, demolition, site work, engineered foundations, architectural and engineering costs, and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $18,111,868.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.
