PROJECT HOUSEWORKS

INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

Project Houseworks is seeking bids from qualified licensed contractors for new re roof, gutters, downspouts and extension installs, soffit and fascia repair/replacement for Seven (7) residential homes and detached garages in Omaha, Nebraska. If interested, the Scope of Work can be obtained by contacting Shane Murphy at Project Houseworks: Shane@projecthouseworks.org. Deadline for proposals is Friday, July 19th at 3:00PM.

Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the closing time. Sealed bids to be addressed to Project Houseworks (2316 S 24th Street, Omaha NE 68108) marked “Bid on Roof Project”, with address identified, must be on file in the office by 3:00 P.M. on the closing date, at which time the bids will be opened and read by Project Houseworks.

Attention is called to the fact not less than minimum salaries and wages as specified by the U.S. Secretary of Labor as set forth in the specification may be paid on the roofing/gutter work. The contractor must, furthermore, insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color or creed, sex or national origin.

The bidder must file a certificate of insurance with Project Houseworks evidencing comprehensive public liability insurance coverage protecting the property owner for not less than 1,000,000 per occurrence, 2,000,000 aggregate arising out of work performed by the contractor. Evidence of workman’s compensation insurance must be shown prior to receipt of the order to proceed with the work.
