Businesses Are Asked to Apply For Wellness Award in July
Gov. Pete Ricketts is encouraging businesses to apply for the 2020 Governor’s Wellness Award. The award encourages businesses to develop quality wellness programs.
The program offers three levels – Sower, Grower and Harvester – as businesses build out their offering and are able to measure outcomes.
“Now more than ever, we must work together to keep Nebraskans healthy,” Ricketts said in a release. “Since an organization’s teammates are its greatest asset, it makes good business sense to develop a culture of wellness that encourages everyone to take new steps to improve their health.”
Applicants are encouraged to attend an informational webinar June 30 at noon. Register at pphd.org/pwwc.html. Apply between July 1 and Aug. 14. Apply at bit.ly/2BAadQ1.
The award is sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and administered by the Panhandle Worksite Wellness Council, part of Panhandle Public Health District.
For more information, businesses are encouraged to contact Jessica Davies at 308-487-3600, ext. 101 or jdavies@pphd.org.
