The lead mentor at the Lancaster County Veterans Treatment Court was presented with a $500 check for the mentor's volunteer work.
Ed Malk was given a “Reward a Veteran” award by Berry Law's general counsel Andrew Strotman last Wednesday, Nov. 20. Malk is the lead mentor for a team of nine other volunteer veteran mentors.
The other mentors volunteering to serve the court are Bob Selig, John Arias, Jerry Cummings, Bob Holbert, Bob Tooker, Bonnie Bessler, Mike Sheets, William Jackson and Greg Halloway.
“When creating this reward, our goal was to find veterans in the community who were committed to assisting those who served. The Lancaster County Veterans Treatment Court Team is everything the award stands for,” Berry Law CEO and Army veteran John S. Berry Jr. said in a news release. “It is an honor to award them for the hard work they put in on a daily basis helping Veterans. In an effort to fight for our nation’s Veterans, they are the example everyone should strive to emulate.”
