Attendance Taken at 5:04 p.m. Jeremy Dick: Present, Tim Dressen: Present, Kara Neuverth: Present, Kristi Ryan: Absent, Steve Shannon: Present, Allyson Slobotski: Present.

I. Call Retreat to Order – Board President Allyson Slobotski called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m., noting the Open Meetings Act, a copy of which was located on the south wall of the Board Room, governed the meeting.

II. Bennington Board of Education will take part in a Board Retreat to discuss budget items – Dr. Plas provided the Board of Education with a school finance introduction, reviewed the Building/Finance Committee Goals, discussed all assumptions made within the budget projections, provided projected expenses for all accounts, presented projections over a three-year period, and discussed the Building/Finance committee recommendation for revenues. The Board of Education asked questions and provided input on communication, future educational needs, and revenue needs.

III. Time and Date of Next Meeting – August 14, 2023, Joint City Council/BOE Meeting, 5:00 p.m., Regular Board Meeting to follow, Bennington District Board Room

IV. Adjournment – President Slobotski adjourned the meeting at 6:58 p.m.

NOTICE: COPY OF OPEN MEETINGS ACT: The Board of Education makes available at least one current copy of the Open Meetings Act posted in the meeting room at a location accessible to members of the public. The Act is posted on the wall of the meeting room.
