REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FOR FARM LEASE
NOTICE is hereby given that Bennington Public Schools is seeking proposals from interested and qualified agricultural producers for the purpose of entering into a farm lease for the lease of an approximately 80-acre tract of land owned by the school district near the northeast corner of N. 180th Street and Military Road in Douglas County.
The RFP documents are available from Bennington Public Schools and may be obtained by contacting Dr. Matt Blomenkamp, Assistant Superintendent, 11620 N. 156th Street Bennington, Nebraska, 402-238-3044. Proposals are due on or before 1:00 p.m. on April 24, 2024.

I. Call Meeting to Order- President Allyson Slobotski called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. The Board of Education makes available at least one current copy of the Open Meetings Act posted in the meeting room at a location accessible to members of the public.
II. Public Forum- No members of the public were present to speak.
III. Consent Agenda (Note: Items on the consent agenda are considered routine and will be enacted under one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items at the meeting unless a Board Member requests an item removed from the agenda for separate action.)

VII. A. Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on Curriculum and Personnel Proposals- The Curriculum Committee met on March 11th to continue the process of determining which curriculum and personnel proposals to recommend for the 2024-25 school year.
MOTION PASSED: Motion to accept the recommendations by the Curriculum Committee for 2024-25 curriculum and personnel proposals #48 and #49 as outlined in the March 11, 2024, Curriculum Committee Report and pending 2024-25 budget approval, and proposal #1 as presented pending 2024-25 budget approval, passed with a motion by Jeremy Dick and a second by Kara Neuverth. VII.B. Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on Technology Purchases- Each year the district continues to invest in the technology necessary to operate the school in the current digital age. These purchases were discussed at the March Board of Education meeting and were included in the 2023-24 budget.

Purchases- The Building/Finance Committee met on March 25th to discuss the summer maintenance proposals and repair projects.

VII.D. Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on Certified Staff Report- A list of non-tenured and tenured teaching and administrative staff for the 2024-25 school year was presented. All personnel on this list have indicated their intent to return to the district for next year.

VII.E. Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on 2024-2025 Lunch and Breakfast Prices- An array utilizing 18 metro school districts was used to determine 2024-2025 meal pricing. Breakfast (K-5) $1.90 daily $9.50 weekly, (6-8) $1.95 daily $9.75 weekly, (9-12) $2.05 daily $10.25 weekly, (Reduced) $0.30 daily $1.50 weekly, (*Adult) $2.90 daily $14.50 weekly. Lunch (K-5) $2.80 daily $14.00 weekly, (6-8) $3.10 daily $15.50 weekly, (9-12) $3.15 daily $15.75 weekly, (Reduced) $0.40 daily $2.00 weekly, (*Adult) $4.75 daily $23.75 weekly. Milk $0.55 each $2.75 weekly. *Please note, adult prices are subject to change. The minimum adult meal prices are released by the state agency in the summer.
