I. Call Meeting to Order- President Allyson Slobotski called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. The Board of Education makes available at least one current copy of the Open Meetings Act posted in the meeting room at a location accessible to members of the public.
II. Public Forum- Two members of the public were present to speak.
III. Consent Agenda (Note: Items on the consent agenda are considered routine and will be enacted under one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items at the meeting unless a Board Member requests an item removed from the agenda for separate action.)

IV. Items Removed from the Consent Agenda for Separate Action- No items were removed from the Consent Agenda.
V. Reports- Elementary- Chad Boyes, Middle School- Lucas Apfelbeck, High School- Greg Lamberty, Student Services- Dan Bombeck, Operations- Matt Blomenkamp, CIA- Dee Hoge Superintendent- Aaron Plas presented reports to the Board. Committee Report: Curriculum and Policy committees reviewed past meetings. Building and Finance Committee did not meet. Coordinator- Technology - Rob Uchtman Spotlight- CKLA Amplify - Shannon Thoendel Lobbyist- Dr. Plas reviewed the Lobbyist report with the Board.
VI. Unfinished Business
VI.A. Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on the 2024-25 School Calendar- It was
recommended to approve the 2024-25 school year calendar to separate the high school ParentTeacher conference dates to Monday and Wednesday, while the remaining buildings will have their conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday. The second change requested by the high school administration is to add an early staggered release to the calendar on April 22nd due to the high school hosting the Bennington Track and Field Invitational.

VII. New Business
VII.A. Discuss, consider, and take all necessary action with regard to possible approval and authorization to execute an interlocal cooperation agreement with SID No. 623 of Douglas County for proposed public infrastructure improvements near new property in the Morgan Ridge Subdivision- As part of the school’s acquisition of the Morgan Ridge property, it must also engage in an interlocal cooperation agreement with Sanitary and Improvement District No. 623 of Douglas County Nebraska (SID 623), which encompasses the Morgan Ridge subdivision area.
MOTION PASSED: Motion that the Board of Education of this School District approves and
authorizes execution of the interlocal cooperation agreement with Sanitary and Improvement District No. 623 of Douglas County, Nebraska, relating to the design, construction, and payment of certain proposed public infrastructure improvements on and adjacent to a new school property generally located in the Morgan Ridge Subdivision near about 156th Street and Rainwood Road, such agreement in the form on file with official BPS records and as presented at this meeting or with such changes as are deemed necessary and in the best interest of BPS and approved by the Board President or Superintendent of Schools, passed with a motion by Kristi Ryan and a second by Tim Dreessen. VII.B. Discuss, consider, and take all necessary action with regard to possible approval and authorization to execute an interlocal cooperation agreement with Douglas County, SID No. 623, SID No. 633, and Papio-Missouri River NRD for proposed public infrastructure improvements on Rainwood Road- As a condition of the agreement to purchase the Morgan Ridge land, the district must enter into an interlocal agreement for the extension of Rainwood Road. This extension is crucial for providing access to their respective subdivision
developments.
MOTION PASSED: Motion that the Board of Education of this School District approves and
authorizes execution of the interlocal cooperation agreement with Douglas County, Nebraska, Sanitary and Improvement District No. 623 of Douglas County, Nebraska, Sanitary and Improvement District No. 633 of Douglas County, Nebraska, and Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District relating to the design, construction, and payment of certain proposed public infrastructure improvements on and to Rainwood Road between 166th and 156th streets, which is and adjacent to a new school property generally located in the Morgan Ridge Subdivision near about 156th Street and Rainwood Road, such agreement in the form on file with official BPS records and as presented at this meeting or with such changes as are deemed necessary and in the best interest of BPS and approved by the Board President or Superintendent of Schools, passed with a motion by Kristi Ryan and a second by Kara Neuverth.
