UNAPPROVED MINUTES
Posting Information: Notice published in the Daily Record 09/22/2023. Notice of meeting posted on the District website. Agendas were posted at all Bennington Public School buildings three days prior to the meeting date.
Attendance Taken at 5:56 PM. Jeremy Dick: Present, Tim Dreessen: Present, Kara Neuverth: Present, Kristi Ryan: Present, Steve Shannon: Present, Allyson Slobotski: Absent.
I. Call Meeting to Order- Vice President Steve Shannon called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. noting the Open Meetings Act was posted on the south wall of the Board Room.

II.A. Discuss, Consider, and Take All Necessary Action to Adopt the 2023-2024 School Year Budget- The same proposed budget was presented during the Budget Hearing on September 11th, and the Joint Public Hearing on September 20th. The budget reflects an increase of $1,728,108 (3.39%) in our General Fund, a $231,190 (-1.50%) decrease in our Bond Fund, a decrease of $10,750,646 (-43.61%) in our Special Building Fund, and a $3,970,995 (1,632%) increase in the QCPUF Fund.

II.B. Discuss, Consider, and Take All Necessary Action to Approve the Property Tax Request Resolution and Set the School System’s Final Property Tax Request for the 2023-2024 School Year- The proposed final levy will decrease by $.067548. The General Fund will decrease by $.097023, the Bond Fund will increase by $.000002, the Special Building Fund will increase by .047023, and the QCPUF will decrease by $0.017550.
MOTION PASSED: Motion to adopt the property tax request resolution for Bennington Public Schools for 2023-2024 and set the 2023-2024 property tax requests as follows: $24,511,108 for the General Fund, $1,235,854 for the Special Building Fund; $8,753,967 for the Bond Fund; and $463,445 for the Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking Fund.
