Applications Accepted For 2 Vacancies on District Court

Applications are now being accepted or two openings on the Douglas County District Court.
The deadline for applicants for the 4th Judicial District vacancies is 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 4.
After receiving applications, the Judicial Nominating Commission for District Judge in the 4th Judicial District will hold a public hearing Thursday, March 25, at 9:30 a.m. via WebEx in Courtroom 507 at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1701 Farnam St. The hearing will be available for live viewing through NET.
Information on the qualifications of the candidates to fill the vacancies will be considered at the hearing. The vacancies are due to the retirements of Judge Gary B. Randall on Dec. 31, 2020, and Judge James T. Gleason on Jan. 31, 2021.
Written testimony can be provided to the nominating commission in advance by March 18. Submit comments via email to ashley.nolte@nebraska.gov.
