OMAHA, Neb. – AIM Institute, an innovative nonprofit committed to building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive tech workforce through education, career development and outreach, will host its annual Heartland Developers Conference (HDC) on Oct. 3-4, 2022, at the CHI Health Center Omaha. Presented by Farm Credit Services of America, this two-day, premier software development conference for tech professionals will provide an immersive experience and world-class content to the Silicon Prairie development community.

A highly technical event, the conference attracts skilled individuals who are leading the industry forward, and where experts will share the latest knowledge and demonstrate new techniques to help build an understanding of the subject matter. Each day, the conference will build upon itself to provide tailored learning experiences for attendees at any stage of their careers. Individuals also will experience keynote speakers, breakout sessions and numerous networking opportunities.

“As a premiere networking event for more than 15 years, HDC shapes the path for future tech professionals while providing them and companies increased exposure in the workforce,” said Kandace Miller, PhD, President and CEO of AIM. “We are thankful for HDC’s presenting sponsor, Farm Credit Services of America, and all of the other local businesses that make it possible to offer a unique, large-scale tech education event that keeps the local sector connected in the constantly evolving technology landscape.”

Breakout sessions will explore topics such as AI & Data; Tech Leadership; Dev/SecOps; Innovation; Cybersecurity; and Microservices & Cloud. These sessions will feature notable speakers from companies such as Microsoft, Union Pacific, Spreetail and more.

Keynote speakers for the event will include subject-matter experts David S. Kong, Ph.D., director of the Community Biotechnology Initiative at MIT Media Lab, and Chris Wlaschin, SVP and chief information security officer with Election Systems & Software. Presenters will cover topics such as The Future of Biotech and Election Security.

Registration is required to attend HDC. College students pursuing a STEM-related career field are eligible to attend for free. Visit https://hdc.aiminstitute.org/ for more information.

The AIM Institute grows a strong and diverse tech community through education, career development, and outreach. More information about AIM is available at aiminstitute.org.
