Two law firms were among the 27 Nebraska companies recognized as part of the nation’s most successful companies in 2019.

Berry Law Firm and Hilgers Graben PLLC were both included on Inc. 5000 list of the Most Successful Companies in America.

New York-based Inc. magazine covers businesses and startups, and it features the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S., according to a news release.

“These 27 companies are further proof that Nebraska is one of the best states in America to start and grow a business,” Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts said. “They’re also part of the reason our state had the most economic development projects per capita in the nation for the third year in a row. Our congratulations go out to each of these terrific firms for their tremendous achievement.”

Berry Law Firm and Hilgers Graben both earned spots on the list for the third consecutive year.

At No. 2700, Berry Law Firm has a revenue of $7.5 million, according to Inc.’s rankings. The firm has offices in Omaha, Lincoln and Seward.

“Our team is honored to have been recognized by Inc. magazine, and we are excited to continue providing high quality legal services for all our clients,” Berry Law Firm said in a statement. “The past year has been another period of rapid and successful growth for the surging firm.”

At No. 2009, Hilgers Graben has a revenue of $3.1 million. The firm has offices in Omaha and Lincoln plus Dallas and Denver.

“We’re honored to have been named to the Inc. 5000 for the third year in a row,” said firm founder Mike Hilgers. “Our growth is a reflection of the fact that our innovative model and service offering is filling a need in the industry. It is due to the hard work of many great people, and a credit to the positive culture we have created at our firm.”

Two Nebraska companies –City+Ventures and Mobile Text Alerts – cracked the top 500 list this year, growing by more than 3,000% combined, according to a news release from the governor.

Other Nebraska companies on the list are CapStone Technologies, Dynamo, Flywheel, Ecomitize, Atlas MedStaff, Fusion Medical Staffing, BioAgilytix, Onestaff Medical, Metro Stars Gymnastics, Medical Solutions, Sharp Medical Staffing, Bulu, DataShield, Carson Group, FireSprint, RTG Medical, Triage Medical Staffing, Infogressive, The Firm Advisors, Capstone Consulting, Quantum Workplace, McGill Restoration and Vivayic.

Inc.’s rankings has helped grow national exposure for many well-known companies, including Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp and Zillow.

“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed so many different paths to success,” said Inc. editor in chief James Ledbetter. “There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can take that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”
