This year’s Gretna Business Expo, hosted by the Gretna Chamber of Commerce, will be returning for the first time since the pandemic. It is going to be held tomorrow, Saturday June 11th in Gretna’s revamped downtown area from 9am-1pm. Admission is free to the public. This will be the expo’s first year outdoors and downtown as “to bring interest and awareness to our little downtown area,” and “to bring people outside to a different part of Gretna,” said Carrie Reitmeier, the Gretna Chamber of Commerce Community Engagement Coordinator. The expo will host businesses from the Omaha metro area, food trucks, face-painting, and more! It will be fun for the whole family, and an opportunity to get involved in Gretna’s community. They will also be partnering with McKenna Market Mania craft and flea market which the city hosts annually. All the McKenna Market Mania’s booth fees will be donated to Gretna Neighbors Food Pantry, and the booth fees from the business expo will go towards the Gretna Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship fund that is awarded to a high schooler in Gretna each year. Reitmeier says that they are “encouraging people to show off their business, educate people on their business, and to meet the community that supports their businesses.” Come join the Gretna Chamber of Commerce on the red brick road in downtown Gretna tomorrow!
