OMAHA, Neb. (Aug. 15, 2022) – The Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) will support nonprofits in turning moments into movements at its 16th annual Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands on Thursday, Nov. 10 at Embassy Suites La Vista Hotel and Conference Center. Registration is now available for the Summit.
The Summit, hosted by NAM and DA Davidson will connect approximately 300 nonprofit executives, employees, board members, and volunteers from Nebraska and Iowa. The conference theme is Moments to Movements.
“The past two years have proven that nonprofits know how to respond quickly to the issues of the moment and do what needs to be done to help the people and communities they serve survive and thrive,” said NAM CEO Anne Hindery. “The Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands will explore how nonprofit leaders can take these moments of individual and collective energy and momentum and turn them into long-lasting movements.”
The conference will feature presentations, breakout sessions and workshops on a variety of topics that will energize nonprofit attendees and leave them with actionable takeaways. The conference will feature a keynote presentation from Sean Thomas-Breitfeld and Frances Kunreuther of the Building Movement Project. They will share their updated report, Trading Glass Ceilings for Glass Cliffs, which focuses on the experiences and challenges of nonprofit leaders of color who have attained the top positions in their organizations.
