Trump Loves The Poorly Educated

Published by maggie@omahadai... on Fri, 02/21/2025 - 6:00am

I’ve always been puzzled by President Trump and many of his followers wanting to dismantle the Department of Education.

The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same

Published by maggie@omahadai... on Tue, 02/18/2025 - 6:00am

They say the more things change, the more they stay the same. And the reason they say that is because time and time again, it’s proven to be true.

I thought of that the other day when one of Governor Pillens’ Legislative Priorities made it out of committee. LB140 is the bill before the Unicameral that would not allow children in grades K-12 to use a cell phone in school.

The Purple Dot

Published by maggie@omahadai... on Mon, 01/27/2025 - 6:00am

Nebraska really is a study in paradox. We are a red state with high taxes. We are a rural state with a thriving metropolitan area. We want to stop the brain drain and encourage people to move here while advertising that we’re not for everybody.

Good night. Sleep tight. Don’t let the bed bugs bite.
