LINCOLN — Max Perry was ousted from day care as a tot.

His special needs became so intense that his mom quit her job to be nearby 24-7. His parents once chartered a private plane to transport Max, challenged by autism and epilepsy, to a major surgery because commercial flights sent him into panic mode, frantically kicking, screaming and peeling off clothes.

Burgum Highlights Bike Program Benefiting All Schools In The State

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum flashed his biking acumen and his inner child this week during the state’s rollout of the All Kids Bike program.

The program, funded through a $1.5 million state grant in collaboration with private donors, aims to teach every kindergartener in North Dakota how to ride a bicycle during physical education class.
