Sarpy Scuffle: County Attorney Suing County Board After Refusing Demand To Fire Top Prosecutor

For the past seven months, a top prosecutor in the Sarpy County Attorney’s Office, a lawyer making more than $140,000 a year, has been paid by the county to stay home.

The Sarpy County Board blocked him from offices in the courthouse and revoked his access to the computer systems and files he’d need to do his job.

Since 1953, no president has ever entered office at less than 50% approval, that is, except for President Trump, who, when inaugurated for the second time, had just 47% approval. This same data Gallup showed that, except for briefly with George H.W. Bush (at 48%), no other president had earned less than half the approval of independents, but for President Trump, who, at the beginning of this term, sat briefly at 46%.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senate Democrats have succeeded in eliminating more than a dozen policy changes from Republicans’ “big, beautiful bill” after successfully arguing before the chamber’s parliamentarian that the elements didn’t comply with the strict rules that go along with writing a budget reconciliation bill.
