PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on May 21, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance to rezone property located southeast of 114th and State Streets from DR–Development Reserve District to R4–Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).
Res. that, the Final Plat entitled Deer Crest North (Lots 1-146, Outlot A), a subdivision outside city limits, along with approval of a waiver to Section 53-8(2)(g)(5), Maximum grade, located south-east of 114th and State Streets, is hereby approved and accepted.
An ordinance to rezone property located northeast of 72nd Street and Bennington Road from DR – Developmental Reserve District and AV- Aviation District to AV- Aviation District.
Res. that, the Preliminary Plat entitled North Omaha Airport, a minor plat outside city limits, with approval of a waiver to Section 53-9(9), Sidewalks, and Section 53-9(11), Street Trees, located northwest of 72nd Street and Bennington Road, along with the conditions, is hereby accepted; and, the preparation of the final plat of this subdivision is hereby authorized.
Res. that, the Final Plat entitled North Omaha Airport, a minor plat outside city limits, located northwest of 72nd Street and Bennington Road, is hereby approved and accepted.
Res. that, the Special Use Permit application submitted by Patrick Ackerman, for a Major Amendment to allow Aviation services in the AV District, located northeast of 72nd Street and Bennington Road, is hereby approved and the Permits and Inspection Division is directed to issue the necessary permit therefor, provided the conditions set out in Exhibit “A” of the referenced application, conditions set out in Exhibit “B”, and all applicable local or state statutes, ordinances or regulations are complied with; and, that the proposed Special Use Permit has been reviewed and evaluated pursuant to, and meets each of, the criteria set forth in Section 55-885 of the Omaha Municipal Code.
Res. that, the Special Use Permit application submitted by Patrick Ackerman, for a Major Amendment to allow development in the ED-North Hills Environmental Resources Overlay District, located northeast of 72nd Street and Bennington Road, is hereby approved and the Permits and Inspection Division is directed to issue the necessary permit therefor, provided the conditions set out in Exhibit “A” of the referenced application, conditions set out in Exhibit “B”, and all applicable local or state statutes, ordinances or regulations are complied with; and, that the proposed Special Use Permit has been reviewed and evaluated pursuant to, and meets each of, the criteria set forth in Section 55-885 of the Omaha Municipal Code.
An ordinance to rezone property located northeast of 66th Street and Ames Avenue from R5(35)-Urban Family Residential District and CC-Community Commercial District to LO-Limited Office District.
An ordinance to amend the boundaries of the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located northeast of 66th Street and Ames Avenue.
An ordinance to approve an Amendment to the Future Land Use Element of the City’s Master Plan from Low Density Residential to Office Commercial for the property generally located northeast of 66th Street and Ames Avenue.
Res. that, the Special Use Permit application submitted by Open Door Mission for a Large Project Special Use Permit to allow development over 10 acres in the GI District, located southeast of 20th and East Locust Streets, is hereby approved and the Permits and Inspection Division is directed to issue the necessary permit therefor, provided the conditions set out in Exhibit “A” of the referenced application, conditions set out in Exhibit “B”, and all applicable local or state statutes, ordinances or regulations are complied with. The proposed Large Project Special Use Permit has been reviewed and evaluated pursuant to, and meets each of, the criteria set forth in Section 55-885 of the Omaha Municipal Code.
