The protocols for wearing an “I Voted” sticker need updating. What are the ground rules if you fulfill your civic duty a month before the May 10 primary? Is it proper to exercise your enfranchisement by mail and then show up at work or school or the market sporting the iconic red, white and blue adhesives for weeks at a time?

Over the past couple of years, there has been a stream of reporting and rumors about the mental capacity of Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who at 88, is currently one of the oldest members of Congress. Most recently, multiple colleagues told the San Francisco Chronicle that they no longer believe Feinstein is fit to serve, with one saying the senator forgot who they were multiple times during a conversation.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A Nebraska governor candidate who is backed by former President Donald Trump has filed a defamation lawsuit against a state lawmaker and fellow Republican who has accused him of groping her at a local party event in 2019. The campaign of Charles W. Herbster alleges in the lawsuit that Nebraska Sen. Julie Slama falsely accused him in an effort to derail his campaign ahead of the state GOP's hotly contested, May 10 primary.
