You Can Now Pay Property Taxes Via App
The Douglas County Treasurer’s Office announced last Wednesday that residents can now pay property taxes using a new smartphone app.
Additional payment types will be added in the future, according to a news release. The app allows taxpayers to monitor their account status, set up one-time payments, schedule future payments, manage payment options and receive reminders when new bills or statements are available.
“We are excited to honor the pledge I made over 12 years ago, when I was first elected, to utilize technology to better serve our citizens,” Douglas County Treasurer John W. Ewing Jr. said in the release. “This is a great opportunity to bring the latest consumer-grade technology to citizens so they can do business with Douglas County the same way they can with their other business partners.”
The app, myDouglasCounty, is a provided through Payit, a digital government service provider. The app is available for Apple iPhone and Google Android devices.
