Rodriguez Named Merrick County Clerk Magistrate
Maria “Mary” Segura-Rodriguez will soon become Merrick County clerk magistrate in Central City.
County court clerk magistrates work under the general direction of the presiding county judge supervising, assigning, and directing the work of all staff within the county court. The position carries a high level of responsibility for the people, paperwork, and records of the court.
Starting next Tuesday, Rodriguez will be responsible to ensure the efficiency of the court’s administrative functions and for investigating and evaluating procedural changes within the district, the Nebraska Judicial Branch said in a news release.
Judges Andrew Lange, C. Jo Petersen, Frank Skorupa, and Stephen Twiss direct the operation of the county courts in the 5th Judicial District, which includes Boone, Butler, Colfax, Hamilton, Merrick, Nance, Platte, Polk, Saunders, Seward and York counties.
Rodriguez replaces retired magistrate Beth Pullen and will work in the 5th Judicial District with fellow Clerk Magistrates Kathryn Barnes, York; Sheila Beins, Seward; Ellen Faltys, Schuyler; Lisa Langan, Albion; Angela Lewandowski, Aurora; Jodie Roberts, Osceola; Darla Schiefelbein, Columbus; Shirley Stuart-Monroe, Fullerton; Deanne Uhrmacher, David City; and Diane Wagner, Wahoo.
