OPD, FBI Establish Joint Command Post
The FBI Omaha Field Office established a command post to gather intelligence and coordinate with local and state partners on potential threats leading up to today’s inauguration of Joe Biden in Washington, D.C.
The FBI was working with the Omaha Police Department and our other law enforcement partners to continuously share information based on tips.
“Between now and the presidential inauguration on Jan. 20, we will maintain a heightened posture to monitor for any emerging threats to our region,” Special Agent in Charge Eugene Kowel said last Friday.
People should call the FBI at 402-493-8688 regarding potential violence at any upcoming protest or event. In an emergency, call 911.
