Omaha Chamber Launches Guide for Job Seekers
The Greater Omaha Chamber is stressing that the Omaha area is open for business and hiring.
To help area job seekers, the chamber of commerce has teamed up with The Startup Collaborative to develop an employment and community-resource tool, according to a news release.
The free Resource Guide for Job Seekers – accessible online at bit.ly/2WfkzNh – offers first steps for the newly unemployed, walking users through needs-based scenarios designed to connect them to community resources and opportunities.
The tool includes information on meeting personal needs, loss of income and career assistance.
“We are in an unprecedented time of profound change, and one of our greatest assets is our workforce.” David G. Brown, chamber president and CEO. “The resource guide lets people know they are supported by addressing the many challenges they may face – from personal needs and loss of income to career assistance.”
The chamber also offers a COVID-19 Crisis Response Resource Guide at bit.ly/2SKm97x.
