Office of Public Guardian Offers Spanish Course
The Nebraska Office of Public Guardian has developed a Spanish-language version of the state’s guardian and conservator class.
Guardian and Conservator Education is a mandatory, court-ordered course for all individuals in the process of becoming guardians or conservators for vulnerable adults and children. The course is designed to help people learn the ins and outs of guardianship and conservatorship, such as filling out court forms and how to promote the dignity and autonomy of those in their care.
The new Spanish-language course is available online at a cost of $20 per person and takes about four hours to finish. Participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course, which then must be filed with the court.
Additional information, including how to register, can be found at the Office of Public Guardian’s website or directly at bit.ly/3kNVYd1.
