OBA Fall Kickoff Set for Tomorrow, WIth More Events on Deck
The Omaha Bar Association’s Fall Kickoff is this Thursday at the historic Field Club of Omaha at 3615 Woolworth Ave.
The members-only barbecue begins at 4:30 p.m. with appetizers, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a hosted bar. The club has indoor and outdoor gathering areas.
“Successful lawyers build relationships with other lawyers and judges. The OBA is pleased to bring together the members of the bar to celebrate the promise of a new year with old friends and new,” OBA President Judge Stephanie Hansen said in an email to OBA members.
The Fall Kickoff BBQ has symbolically signaled the start of the judicial calendar over the past five decades and is a favorite of many OBA members.
Attendees may wear a mask, but masks will not be required.
The OBA encourages those uncomfortable about being in proximity with others and those who are unvaccinated to not attend. Refunds will be offered up until the day of the event.
Upcoming other OBA events include a town hall “Court Reporting in Nebraska – The Past, Present, & Future” on Wednesday, Sept. 22; OBA Memorial Service on Friday, Sept. 24; and the Medical Legal Dinner on Thursday, Sept. 30.
