NSBA to Welcome New Leaders For Executive Council, House of Delegates
The Nebraska State Bar Association is preparing to welcome a new chair of its House of Delegates and new members of the NSBA Executive Council during the 2020 NSBA Annual Meeting, which runs virtually this week.
Susan Sapp is set to become chair of the House of Delegates on Wednesday, and Tim Brouillette, Sean Minahan and Alex Lierz will begin their terms this week on the Executive Council.
According to a news release from the NSBA:
Sapp is a senior litigation partner with the Cline Williams law firm, working in Lincoln and Omaha and practicing primarily in the areas of employment, professional negligence and Title IX litigation.
Sapp is the president of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Nebraska Chapter, and the incoming state chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Minahan will begin his term Wednesday on the Executive Council, representing the 5th Judicial District. He is a partner of Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP and a member of the Litigation Department.
Prior to joining LDM, Minahan independently contracted with the Iowa State Public Defender’s Office in handling juvenile and adult cases for indigent clients. He now represents a broad range of clients in corporate and personal litigation, with a specific interest in representing agricultural and construction related clients and businesses.
Brouillette will begin his term Wednesday on the Executive Council, representing the 6th Judicial District. He is a life-long resident of western Nebraska and is currently the senior partner with Brouillette, Dugan, Troshynski & Bellew, PC, LLO with offices in North Platte and McCook.
Brouillette has been an active member of the Nebraska State Bar Association since 1991, including serving on the Budget and Planning Committee, Rural Practice Committee, Elder Law committee, Fee Arbitration Committee and is currently a member of the House of Delegates.
Lierz will begin her term Tuesday on the Executive Council, representing the Young Lawyers Section. She is an associate attorney at Rembolt Ludtke LLP and a member of the firm’s domestic relations practice group.
Lierz is actively involved in the Nebraska State Bar Association as a member of the Young Lawyers Section Executive Committee, the Education Committee and the Family Law and Women and the Law Sections. Lierz is also member of the Robert Van Pelt Inns of Court, the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, and the Lincoln Bar Association Law Day Committee.
