NSBA to Host Leadership Summit on May 26, 2022
No occupation in America supplies a greater proportion of leaders than the law. In addition to leading law firms, lawyers sit at the helm of a vast and diverse array of businesses and non-profit organization and comprise a large percentage of our political leaders. As NSBA President, William Mueller explains, “The Nebraska State Bar Association is committed to cultivating lawyers as leaders both within our profession and our state. On May 26, 2022, the NSBA will be hosting a Leadership Summit where Nebraska lawyers, judges and law students will have a unique opportunity to further develop their leadership skills and help inform the future of the legal profession.” The event will offer programming and CLE credit on topics including:
Ethical Leadership in the Legal Profession through a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Lens
Building Executive Presence
Why We Need Lawyer Leaders
The Future of the Legal Profession and the Practice of Law
Participants will then break into small groups to discuss several issues and provide feedback on issues impacting the future of Nebraska’s legal community.
The Future of Succession Planning
The Future of the Trial Courts
The Future of Work
The Future of the Profession: National Regulatory Reforms
The Future of Leadership in the Profession
The Future of Continuing Legal Education
The Future of the Nebraska State Bar Association
The event is free for Sustaining Members of the NSBA and is accredited for 4.5 hours of CLE credit (including 1.5 hours of ethics). Registration is available on the Nebraska State Bar Association’s website (www.nebar.com).
