Governor Given 6 Names for 2 Spots on Douglas County District Court Bench
The Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fourth Judicial District County Court has selected six finalists for Gov. Pete Ricketts to consider for two vacancies.
Omahans Elizabeth A. Beninato, Todd O. Engleman, Patrick R. Guinan, Thomas K. Harmon, and Jeffrey J. Lux are joined by Tressa M. Alioth of Bennington as the finalists.
The vacancies were created by the retirements of Judges Gary B. Randall and James T. Gleason.
Alioth is a deputy county attorney in the Douglas County Attorney’s Office and a 1997 graduate of the Creighton University School of Law.
Beninato is a deputy county attorney in the Douglas County Attorney’s Office and a 2004 graduate of Creighton Law.
Engleman is the managing and lead attorney at the Nebraska Legal Group and a 2001 graduate of Creighton Law.
Guinan is an associate attorney at Erickson | Sederstrom P.C. and a 1993 graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Harmon is a judge of the Douglas County Court and a 1983 graduate of Creighton Law.
Lux is a deputy county attorney in the Douglas County Attorney’s Office and a 2000 graduate of Creighton Law.
