Gov. Ricketts Awarded for Leadership on Behalf of Seniors
Home Instead Inc. presented Gov. Pete Ricketts with its Senior Advocate of the Year award in recognition of his work to support Nebraska’s senior citizens.
Founded by Paul and Lori Hogan in 1994, Home Instead Senior Care is an in-home care agency with operations throughout the U.S. and 11 other countries. The agency gives personalized care and support to aging adults and their families at over 1,100 locations around the world.
Ricketts has a track record of advocating for policy that benefits seniors including tax relief for retirees as well as signing the Assisting Caregivers Transition Act, according to a news release.
This past year, Ricketts participated in the pilot of Home Instead’s Screen Time with a Senior program, a series of candid conversations between an elected official, a senior and, in this particular instance, a caregiver.
