Former Dodge County Attorney’s License Suspended
The law license of the former Dodge County attorney was suspended last Wednesday by the Nebraska Supreme Court.
The court upheld the suspension of Oliver J. Glass in a case brought to the justices by the Counsel of Discipline. The counsel sought an emergency suspension of his license to practice law in Nebraska.
Glass resigned as the Dodge County attorney earlier this month following scandals that included a drunken driving conviction, accusations of harassment and, recently, a charge of violating his DUI probation.
The 46-year-old submitted a resignation effective today, which he submitted to the Dodge County Board of Supervisors eight day after being released from jail.
Glass served nearly 10 years as the county’s top prosecutor, and he was last elected to the position in 2018.
Dodge County is now looking for an attorney to fill the remainder of Glass’s term.
The current salary is $95,412 annually, according to a notice that appears below. Interested attorneys should submit their resumes and cover letters prior to a 3 p.m. March 9 deadline.
