College and Career Day Lets RHS Students Explore Future
After a one-year absence due to the pandemic, Ralston High School hosted its annual College and Career Day on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Ralston High School.
The day consisted of interactive activities, interviews, job and career opportunities, guest speakers and planning and preparing for the future.
Freshmen got an in-depth look at 15 different career pathways through interactive industry professional presentations, while sophomores took the pre-ACT test. Juniors visited the college and career fair with more than 70 local businesses and 30 college, university and technical school representatives. The students then either took the PSAT, NCRC or ASVAB test.
Seniors also took part in the college and career fair with some attending the Apply2College/FAFSA Workshop in the school’s media center and the other half a “Ready, Set, Future” presentation by guest speaker and former Husker defensive end DeMoine Adams, in the auditorium.
